On 18 March 2021, APPG on Uyghurs hosted a briefing on a new report entitled: 'The Uyghur Genocide: An Examination of China’s Breaches of the 1948 Genocide Convention.'
The report published on 9 March by Newlines Institute for Strategy and Policy, co-authored by over 50 global experts in human rights, war crimes and international law, concluded that the CCP 'bears State responsibility for committing genocide against the Uyghurs in breach of the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.'
