On 10 September 2020, members of the APPG on Uyghurs have written to the UK Foreign Secretary informing him about the newly established Uyghur Tribunal and asking him four important questions:
First, will you take the opportunity at an early stage publicly to welcome the establishment and work of the Tribunal?
Second, what steps is the government taking to obtain and assess the evidence related to alleged atrocities in China?
Third, will your Department cooperate with the Tribunal, including by providing to it the evidence it holds and will obtain on the treatment of Muslim minorities in China?
Fourth, will you meet us to discuss these issues?
